On Control, or lack there of

http://tonyfstark.blogspot.com/2008/10/on-control-or-lack-there-of.html

My first real article. Feed back loved :D

Also, I want to do a little something on The Crossing storyline, but can't seem to find any real scans of it anywhere, so if you all happen to have any, I'd love to take a look at them :3 Thanks

I really liked that post-- good to know that I am not the only one who thinks that Tony is pretty textbook when it comes to control issues. People with addictive personalities--myself included--are totally like that, because they know (subconsciously mostly) that they can't control a lot of the world around them.

Poor Tony. It seems that all his efforts at control mostly land him in spots where he's not actually in a position to prevent disaster, but is in a position to take the blame when disaster happens. (Even when nobody else blames him, he's guaranteed to blame himself). No wonder he's such a wreck.

I agree so much, especially with the paragraph about Tony's addiction.

The moment he realizes that he's not in control is the moment things are going to start coming down around him.

I honestly don't know if Tony's capable of realizing that. He might have moments of devastating clarity, but he'd probably ret-con it later, deciding that it was All About Himself and therefore within his control.
